Happy Birthday America!!!!
Once again, we celebrated and had an amazing time with some amazing people that God has blessed us with. It was off to Goosepond Colony lodging, where families from church rented cabins for the weekend were. There was lots of food, fellowship, and fireworks. Then there was Alice entertaining everybody (as usual). This has become a regular thing.
Holly had tons of fun with her friends. Boating, swimming, being silly, and hanging out. Lots of laughter from this bunch!!!!
Trevor hung out with his buddies playing video games, tag, hide & seek, setting off fireworks, and just plain fun!!!!!
It was a great evening!!!!!

Blue Angels Airshow at Huntsville Airport
We met our dear friends, the Schmidts, in Huntsville this past weekend for the Airshow 2008. It was AWESOME. Patty Wagstaff, a champion aerobatic pilot, was one of our favorites before the Blue Angels. She is amazing!! The kids were all happy to see each other again, too. After the show, we left and went to CiCi's pizza, where we ate ridiculous amounts of pizza, salad, and dessert. Then back to the Hampton Inn off of Madison Blvd for swimming and hanging out.
Gotta say though, Alice was such a trooper. She sat in her stroller the whole time we were at the airport. It was dreadfully hot and dehydrating. There was a Blue Angels paramedic that saw our peril and let the kids sit in the air conditioned ambulance for a moment or two to cool off. He said several kids were just passing out. BLESS him!!!!!!
The only ridulous thing at the airshow were all these trucks set up with video games stations. So many kids were not interested in this fantastical airshow because of this. Can we ever get away from video games??? Oh well.
We had a fabulous time and look so forward to the up and coming July 4th festivities!!!!!! YEA!!!!!!! One of my very favorite times of year.

Beach AND Birthday!!!!!
AHHHH!!! What a great vacation at the beach. Celebrating Trevor's birthday in Gulf Shores was the best ever. Our handsome young guy turned 9. What a gift he is. Celebrating and vacationing along side of us were our very good friends The Schmidt Family. We had theee best time ever. Holly, Trevor, Lake and Dawson surfed waves, swam, played video games and just all enjoyed great fun. Us adults just enjoyed each others company. Taking turns chasing Alice around was hectic at times but she is just a bundle of fun...!!!! The McKeigs were tons of fun, too. It was just great!!!! We stayed at Gulf Shores Plantation.
It is good to be home, no doubt. Until......

An official teenager...Holly is 13!!!!!
Happy Birthday to Holly (birthday was April 18). She is officially a teenager. Her request this year was to have banana bread for breakfast. This recipe is from her former (precious) youth pastors wife, Christi. I actually made them into muffins and they were topped with pink frosting.
She also received her long awaited duffel bag she has wanted. She also received the large cosmetic , along with her 5th year in a row trip to Build-A-Bear , this new addition to her collection has been named Lola.
I think it is so precious that she still wants to do this kind of stuff. Her choice of restaurant was Sticky Fingers in Chattanooga. We had a wonderful day celebrating our very treasured young lady. She is so worth it. We love you Holly!!!!!

More Easter pics
Easter 2008
Easter morning before church. We had no idea how cold it was. The kids were trying to wrap their arms around their selves and I told them on three to drop arms. It was funny. Trying to keep their "cool."
Alice, walking in Holly's shoes. In looks, too.
Holly you are such a beautiful girl, inside and out. We love you so much.
Big beautiful blue eyes!!!
Having fun looking in the eggs. She loved her little set of bunny earrings, necklace, and ring. She wore them for the rest of the day.
Trevor - Life is fun with him!!!
Holly look-a-like, seriously!!!
I gave Alice a powdered donut hole and she didn't know what to do with it, (I know, poor child). So, I took a nibble and then she did the same. She was loving it. I gave her one for each hand and she walked around kissing them. It was hilarious. She gobbled them down and wanted more, of course.
Two beautiful girls!!! Holly adores her little sister.
So much personality. We often refer to her as the missile. She is busy trying to keep up with everyone. What an absolute joy she is in our family. Precious!!

Stimulating the economy with "TOYS"
Skip decided it was time for us to do our part to stimulate the economy. He got his long awaited Plasma TV and now has completed "his" phase of an home movie theater. I, on the other hand will make my contribution with my, first time ever, brand new sofa. I chose to go with a Clayton Marcus because of durability over the years. This new piece will join the new TV in our cozy sunroom. We are slowly but surely getting just the right things to make things "pop."
Also, on another note, on February 14th, the kids and I found our first geocache called tank it was so exciting and very cleverly hidden. I signed to log and left with a big smile!!!
The kids are really doing good in homeschooloing. Holly is surviving math with average B. Not her strongest subject. Straight A's on everything else. Trevor is straight A's all the time. Alice is just "straight" - straight into the couch, cabinet, tv, window, etc. Yep, she is straight "A" and actually we are now calling her the human missle.

A New Adventure To Explore
I am so excited to learn about geocaching . As soon as my husband gets the GPS figured out I will be able to search a location just a few miles from our home. I learned of this through a guy that works with Skip. He and his wife venture out every weekend and find up to 25 or so hidden treasures. He is going to teach us the "ropes" so to speak. If any of you are into this, my handle is Hollywoodmom.
